Day 1
Upon arrival at the Airport we will be greeted and taken via air-conditioned bus, to Drouseia Village, in the Pafos district. On the way, we will have a “coffee break” in Erimi. Once settled in the Hotel, a welcome drink and local dishes for dinner, will introduce us to the island.Overnight at the Hotel

Day 2
For a first glance of the island we will drive to small, traditional, stone-built villages, with the traditional architecture. One of these villages is Ineia where we will visit the Basket-weaving Museum. In this museum, one can find exhibited approximately 110 different types of straw and basketry items from all over Cyprus.
We will then drive to Avagas Gorge as we trek along the streambed of this deep limestone canyon. Apart from the 300-metre long natural tunnel, where sheer walls of limestone rise some 40 meters overhead, expect to see numerous small waterfalls, myriad species of plants and flowers, a tremendous concave natural amphitheatre, and different kinds of birds. Free-range goats inhabit the area, so it is often the case that the sounds of our trekking boots clambering over the rocks and boulders are accompanied by goat-bells from the cliffs above.
We will then move on for lunch featuring ethnic dishes to a village taverna in Kathikas village.
Back to Drouseia, we visit the Weaving Museum, which, exhibits items of traditional weaving that are made in the district villages. In this museum, we can learn about the production, processing and application of the raw materials that are used in the village of Drouseia and other areas, such as cotton, wool and silk. Furthermore, we can study the mechanism related to weaving on the traditional loom. Afternoon Coffee/Tea will be offered.

Overnight at the Hotel.

Check out from the Hotel and drive to Pafos (the whole town of Pafos is included in the official UNESCO list of cultural and natural treasures of the World Heritage) and visit the beautiful mosaic floors of the House of Dionysos. This noblemen’s villa dating from the 3rd  to the 5th century AD is considered among the finest in the Eastern Mediterranean. Pass via Petra tou Romiou (birthplace of Aphrodite – the goddess of love and beauty) to Anogyra village to visit the Olive Oil Park and an olive oil museum featuring olive oil extraction methods of the past (millstone, olive press) and various items related to the storage and uses of the olive oil as well as its history, an olive store specializing in olive products, a visitors’ center, a state-of-the-art ecological olive mill, bottling, and storing facilities. We will have the opportunity to compare the extraction methods of the past to the modern process of the ecological olive mill. Foini is one of the four centers that have been producing traditional pottery for the past hundred hears. The pottery that is still being produced in the village is red terracotta. Here, we will have the chance to visit a Pottery Museum.  Foini is also famous for their delicious delights (loukoumi) and we take the opportunity, to visit a workshop, see how loukoumi is made and taste it. Rosa Damascena, a rose bush brought to Cyprus in antiquity from Mesopotamia is extensively and exclusively cultivated at Agros. It produces a bright pink flower whose delicate petals and intoxicating smell are a source of delightful concoctions.
In the House of Roses we will have the opportunity to see how hand made pottery for the storage of the products is made, the process of perfumed candle making and taste things such as rose aperitif, rose liqueurs, rose water and rose wine.
At a sweet House, observe how women turn seasonal fruits into mouth-watering marmalades and jellies. From a large array of whole fruit preserves, “karydaki” (young tender walnuts) and their famous “soutzouko” made from fresh grape juice, flour and almonds are highly sought after (opportunity to be involved in preparation and sample some of the products).
