Day 1
Upon arrival at the Airport we will be greeted and taken via air-conditioned bus, to village, in the Paphos area. Once settled in the Hotel, a welcome drink and a snack for dinner, will introduce us to the island.

Day 2
Cycling day
Today we are invited on a cycling trail within the Akamas Peninsula, located in the far west of Cyprus. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty and of great biodiversity and ecological significance. Home to 530 plant species (a third of the total for Cyprus), 126 of which are endemic to Cyprus. The European Council has included the Akamas Peninsula within its Mediterranean protection programme.

Day 3
Check out from the Hotel and drive to Pafos (the whole town of Pafos is included in the official UNESCO list of cultural and natural treasures of the World Heritage) and visit the beautiful mosaic floors of the House of Dionysos. This noblemen’s villa dating from the 3rd to the 5th century AD is considered among the finest in the Eastern Mediterranean. Pass via Petra tou Romiou (birthplace of Aphrodite – the goddess of love and beauty) to Anogyra village to visit an Olive Oil Park and an olive oil museum featuring olive oil extraction methods of the past (millstone, olive press) and various items related to the storage and uses of the olive oil as well as its history, an olive store specializing in olive products, a visitors’ centre, a state-of-the-art ecological olive mill, bottling, and storing facilities. We will have the opportunity to compare the extraction methods of the past to the modern process of the ecological olive mill. At the restaurant of the park we will enjoy a buffet lunch consisting of a number of traditional dishes and desert.
In the afternoon, we will drive to a wine producing village, Vasa, to visit one of the regional wineries.

Day 4
Cycling day
Today, our cycling trail will be within the Troodos Mountain region. The impressive Troodos mountain range with its idyllic forests stretches across most of the western side of Cyprus. Famous mountain resorts, Byzantine monasteries and churches perched on mountain peaks or nestling in its valleys, as well as picturesque mountain villages clinging to terraced hill slopes make up the splendour of Troodos.

After lunch, a drive to the picturesque village of Agros, will introduce us to its unique homemade products. Small privately owned home industries invite visitors to see the various processes required to manufacture chemical free delicious wine, fruit preserves, sweets and liqueurs as well as aromatic oils and perfumed candles.
Rosa Damascena, a rose bush brought to Cyprus in antiquity from Mesopotamia is extensively and exclusively cultivated at Agros. It produces a bright pink flower whose delicate petals and intoxicating smell are a source of delightful concoctions.
In the House of Roses we will have the opportunity to see how hand made pottery for the storage of the products is made, the process of perfumed candle making and taste things such as rose aperitif, rose liqueurs, rose water and rose wine.
At a local Sweets House, observe how women turn seasonal fruits into mouth-watering marmalades and jellies. From a large array of whole fruit preserves, “karydaki” (young tender walnuts) and their famous “soutzouko” made from fresh grape juice, flour and almonds are highly sought after (opportunity to be involved in preparation and sample some of the products).

Check out from the Hotel and transfer to Alaminos village where we will continue cycling within the region.
