Civil Wedding

Your civil wedding can be organized in any resort of your choice where one can decide whether to have it in the districts municipal halls or within hotel chapels specially made for this occasion!

CHURCH WEDDING

ANGLICAN CHURCH WEDDING
Anglican Chaplains, who are registered ministers for celebrating marriages, will conduct the ceremonies. These are subject to the individual chaplain’s availability.
It is necessary for the actual wedding Ceremony to take place in the registry office prior to the religious ceremony. One of the couple must have been baptized in the Name of the Trinity through a standard Church and provide a copy of their certificate as proof.

CATHOLIC CHURCH WEDDING
In order for the Catholic marriage to be official, it is necessary for the actual wedding
Ceremony  to take place in the registry office prior to the religious ceremony.
Both parties have to be baptized (certificate from their area church.)

In both cases you have to contact your area priest in your country in order to discuss and inform about the marriage. The priest should get in touch with the local priest in Cyprus in order to discuss the procedure and payment.
The couple has to visit the priest the 2nd day of arrival in Cyprus and show all their documents.

LEGALITIES FOR GETTING MARRIED IN CYPRUS

You may rest assured that weddings in Cyprus are perfectly legal. By Cyprus law, your hotel must be located in the same town in which your marriage will take place.
Both bride and groom must be in Cyprus for at least 2 - 3 working days before the wedding can take place.

The interested parties should inform us well in advance about their wedding plans.

Please always check with your local authorities for any documents requested extra to those required in Cyprus.
