Ayia Napa is famous for it’s beaches and nightlife. It was built for fun in the sun!!! 

However, although it has a reputation as a summer playground for the young, in the spring and autumn it offers an atmosphere, which is enjoyed by both couples and families alike.

Attracting nearly a quarter of the island’s tourists Ayia Napa is one of the most popular resorts on the Island. Originally it was a small fishing village and its name comes from the Ancient Greek meaning, “built in the middle of the forest” although the forest is now long gone. 

Listed below are some of the museums and sites of interest. It is by no means complete but will perhaps wet your appetite.  Museum opening hours may sometimes vary but generally they are open all days of the week from 08:30 until 16:00 and are closed on public holidays.  Please remember that when visiting churches and monasteries you should be respectfully dressed so please ensure knees and shoulders are covered.
